Our first Seminar with Shuseki Shihan Woon-A-Tai is done and dusted.
Shihan Woon-A-Tai conducted a truly great seminar from which everyone was able to further their skills in a way that hasn’t previously been taught by other instructors. We received positive feedback on the new skills that were being taught and look forward to another seminar with Shuseki Shihan Woon-A-Tai.
A big thank you to Sensei Peter Harth from Rockhampton, Sensei Alfonso and Sensei Angelika Jimenez from Brisbane, Sensei Trevor Roberts from Brisbane, Sensei Brian Dukas from Noosa, Sensei Kim Vines from Pomona and all of their students for coming and supporting us!
Also a big thanks to all our club members who helped out during the day, and to Terry and Dan for helping to set up the venue in the morning. Without everyone’s help this seminar would not have been possible so we really appreciate the effort everyone put in.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Gympie & District Bendigo Bank for supporting our organisation and sponsoring our first Seminar. Especially Sean Connolly for your constant support.
Our MP Tony Perrett and our mayor Mick Curran were present at the opening ceremony of our seminar. We thank them for their unwavering support and their impressive speeches. Shuseki Shihan Woon-A-Tai presented them with a 6th and 5th Dan honorary black belt respectively. They are a part of our karate family now!
We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Hon Yvette D’Ath the current Attorney-General and Minister for Justice. Shuseki Shihan Woon-A-Tai also presented the Hon Yvette D’Ath MP with an Honorary 7th Dan black belt.
We were lucky enough to conduct a Kyu and Dan grading with Shihan Woon-A-Tai. It was a great honour and congratulations to all those who passed.
We had two wonderful days of fantastic karate training with Shuseki Shihan Woon-A-Tai! Thanks again to everyone who participated. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
