QKA State Titles 17th-18th March 2018
Well done, to all my IKD Australia students!
Day 1
They all did amazing on day 1 of the QKA StateTitles.
They fought like champions and won 9 medals.
Jethro, well done to your silver medal in kumite, your effort and persistence has paid off.
Delara, you became a kumite state champion again, third year in a row. Amazing effort!
Diba, you were the youngest in your kata division and snatched the bronze medal. Good work!
Damine, it was the first state titles for you. Your kata was strong and focused and you were a strong team player in your team kata. You won the bronze medal, I am so proud of you.
David, one more day of refereeing tomorrow, I can see you enjoy this. Keep up the good work.
Daria will be on tomorrow, well supported by all of us and most of all by Dana. Good Luck!
Day 2
We have another State Champion:
Daria won gold in her kumite division! And that even though she went through 8 rounds of kata, won bronze in her kata division and only narrowly missed out in the senior kata semifinals just before her kumite.
What a great effort Daria! You are a very strong person and a smart fighter. You are a high achiever in all areas of your life, but you are always gentle and humble, a role model for your peers.
Congrats and keep training hard!
Well done, David, for refereeing all day strongly and fairly and for sitting your referee exam to become a state judge A. Let’s hope that you passed, result still pending.
