We had several achievements to celebrate:
• We celebrating 8 years of IKD-Australia!
• Handing out Black Belt certificates from our most recent black belt
grading with Tony Perret our MP.
• Daria, our Young Citizen of the year, and Delara gaining selection for the
National team to represent Australia at the upcoming Oceania Karate
Championships.
• Nomination of our athletes into the State Team!
Today we were very fortunate to have Mr Tony Perret join us to celebrate 8 years IKD Australia and present our black belts with their certificates.
Well done to Sebastian, Brittney and Jake for their Shodan belt and to Delara for her Yondan Belt.
It was a pleasure to have Gympie’s Citizen of the year, Dan, and Gympie’s Young Citizen of the year, Daria, to also join in and celebrate with us today!
We also had a photo taken with our 6 Queensland Karate Team members who will represent Queensland at the upcoming National Championships to be held from 11.-13.7.25 July in Adelaide. Daria and Dustin will participate as referees and Sensei Hamid will be one of the Queensland coaches.
Congrats to Delara who has gained selection for the Australian Karate Team and will represent Australia at the Oceania Championships to be held in Noumea on 6./7.6.25!
And most importantly it was Dana’s 11th birthday today. Happy birthday beautiful Dana!
