Well done to Daria for representing IKD at the World Youth League in Croatia in her Kata & kumite Division (Saturday & Sunday the 7th & 8th of July) with a very well presented, clean and crisp Gojushiho Sho on Saturday! It was a pleasure to watch!
The competitors were not judged with flags but with points. Daria scored only 1.5 points less than the highest scorer in her group, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to progress further.
What a huge effort at huge competition with over 1900 entries from over 74 countries.

Sunday was Kumite Day at the World Youth League in Umag/ Croatia. Another fantastic day!
Daria represented IKD Australia in the kumite -59 kg division and put up an awesome fight. She showed great defence skills and threw some nice kicks and punches. Unfortunately, she got kicked in the head, lost three points and lost the fight. Another valuable experience in a huge competition with very strong karate athletes!
