IKD Australia is pleased to announce the upcoming Kyu Grading to be held on Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at the IKD Martial Arts Centre, Gympie, QLD 4570.
The grading provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their progress, technical ability, discipline and understanding of traditional Shotokan Karate. We encourage all candidates to prepare thoroughly and approach the grading with confidence, determination and respect.

Students Should Remember
- Wear a clean Karate Gi with the IKD badge attached.
- Bring your IKD Passbook.
- Registration forms must be completed and submitted in person at the dojo no later than Friday, 19 June 2026.
- Students who do not submit their registration form by the deadline will not be eligible to grade on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
- Family members and spectators are welcome to attend and support participants.
