IKD Australia congratulates all students who successfully completed the 24 June 2026 Kyu Grading held at the IKD Martial Arts Centre, Gympie.
The grading provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical ability, spirit, discipline and understanding of traditional Shotokan Karate. Candidates were assessed on their kihon (basics), kata, kumite and overall attitude in accordance with IKD grading standards.
We are proud of every student who stepped onto the dojo floor and gave their best effort. Success in karate is not only measured by belts and grades, but also by perseverance, respect and continuous self-improvement.
Congratulations to all successful candidates and thank you to the instructors, families and supporters who continue to contribute to the growth and strength of IKD Australia.
Each grading represents months of consistent training, dedication and personal growth. Students are encouraged to progress at their own pace while developing confidence, respect and perseverance. The achievements celebrated today reflect not only technical improvement but also the positive character development that is central to traditional Shotokan Karate.
OSU!
