IKD Australia is proud to announce that Delara Mostofizadeh will represent Queensland and IKD Australia at the upcoming Karate Australia National Championships to be held at MyState Bank Arena, Glenorchy, Tasmania, from 10–12 July.
Delara began her karate journey in 2011 at just five years old. Over the past decade and a half, she has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the art, progressing steadily through the Dan rankings.
She achieved her Shodan in 2018 and continued her upward trajectory, most recently being awarded the rank of Yondan (4th Dan) in November 2025 by Shihan Hamid.
A seasoned competitor, Delara has proudly represented Queensland at the National Championships every year since 2014.
Through years of consistent training and competition experience, Delara has developed the discipline, resilience and determination required to compete at the highest levels of Australian karate. Her commitment to continuous improvement reflects the values taught within traditional Shotokan Karate.
Her consistency, determination and technical skill have earned her numerous titles across Local, State and National competitions.
Her achievements include National Championship Gold Medals in 2018, 2024 and 2025, Silver at the Australian Open Championships in 2025, Gold at the Australian Open Championships in 2026, and a Bronze Medal at the Oceania Championships in 2025.
At this year’s National Championships, Delara will compete in the U21 Female Kumite and Senior Female Kumite divisions. Selection for the Team Kumite event will be determined by the Queensland State Kumite Coach during the tournament.
