Following in her older sister’s footsteps, Delara continues to demonstrate dedication and commitment to both her sport and the wider community. Australia Day provides an opportunity to acknowledge individuals and organisations who make a meaningful contribution. IKD-Australia was nominated in the Community Group category, and Delara was nominated for the Young Citizen of the Year and Sport Award category. As last year’s Young Citizen of the Year, Daria read an Australian poem as part of the celebrations. It is great to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community.
